A Case Analysis on Wedding Space Setting Technique Using Lighting: Focusing on a Multi-Purpose Hall

Wedding halls in company buildings are on the increase with the change of wedding trends, which companies operate on a non-profit basis for the welfare of employees. A wedding hall in a company building refers to a space for multiple purposes which is normally used as a meeting room or lecture hall and can be used as a wedding hall for employees' convenience. This space can be set to various ambiences using different lighting effects. This study explored institutions with multi-purpose halls using lighting for setting wedding spaces by visiting the sites and analysing the wedding photos taken at the multi-purpose halls. In the case study, six institutions were selected to help analyze wedding spaces using lighting, after investigating the analytical value of the contents of the photos in relation to the subject through a preliminary research. The result of the research showed that, by installing well-matched lighting , various atmosphere could be created in the multi-purpose space. Lighting will play a more important role in the space setting in the rapidly changing trends. This study would have significant value for the setting of wedding space using lighting and provide fundamental data which can be useful for people who are in charge of space setting at multi-purpose halls.
