Study on the Property Characterization of Career Planning for Culinary Arts High School Students

본 연구는 조리 특성화고등학교 학생들의 진로선택에 관한 내용으로 고등학교 향후 진로를 선택할 때 고려사항과 진로상담대상, 정보의 원천에 대하여 조사ㆍ분석하였다. 연구의 범위는 서울과 경기도권으로 한정하였으며, 표본은 무작위로 추출되었다. 총 330부의 설문을 배포하였으며, 그 중 319부만을 수거하여 통계 분석에 이용하였다. 향후 진로문제를 누구와 의논할 것인지 묻는 질문에 대하여 '부모'가 가장 높은 응답비율을 보였다. 부모가 학생들의 고등학교 진학과 향후 진로결정에 큰 영향을 미치는 만큼 부모를 대상으로 한 진로교육이 필요하다고 사료된다. 또한 의논대상이 부모에게 집중되어 있으므로 이를 분산시킬 필요가 있다. 그리고 향후 진로결정에 필요한 정보를 어디서 얻는가를 묻는 문항에 '인터넷'이라고 답한 비율이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 '교사', '친구ㆍ선배'라고 답했다. 인터넷에는 매우 방대하고 다양한 정보가 존재하지만 그 안에서 실용적이고 정확한 정보를 획득하는 것은 수용자의 몫이다. 수용자인 학생들이 검증되고 필요한 정보를 획득할 수 있도록 가정과 학교의 역할이 중요하다 할 수 있다.

This study characterized how students of culinary arts high school plan and choose their career path, investigating considerations for future plans after high school graduation, whom to talk to in the course of career planning and source of information. Regarding whom to talk with for future career plan, "parents" were chosen by the majority of the respondents. Since parents play a significant role in going to the vocational school and planning future career path, career counseling may be provided for them. In addition, channels need to be diversified so that dependancy on parents could be alleviated. With regard to where information on career path comes from, respondents said "by web surfing", with "teachers" and "friends and seniors" followed. The internet does contain vast amount of information but leaves the recipient to figure out how to obtain practical and accurate information. which calls for parents and teachers to help the students select valid and requisite information.
