진로교육의 기본개념과 철학 및 실천방향 탐색

A Study on Concept, Assumption and Necessities & Purposes of Career Education

본 논문은 교육의 사회적 배경과 요구 분석을 토대로 진로교육의 기본 개념과 철학적 상정 및 실천 방향을 탐색하였다. 이러한 탐색에 의하여 진로교육의 개념을 "현명한 진로선택과 진로발달을 통하여 생산적 사회 구성원으로서 그리고 행복한 개인으로서 삶을 살 수 있도록 성장을 돕는 교육의 과정"으로 정의 하였다. 그리고 진로교육의 철학적 상정은 다음과 같이 두 가지로 규정 하였다. 1). 독특한 개성적 존재에 관한 교육적 상정: "사람은 누구나 독특한 존재로 태어나며, 독특한 존재로서 삶을 추구하도록 되어 있다." 2). 인간 존엄성에 관한 교육적 상정: "사람은 누구나 필요하고 존엄한 존재로서 삶을 영위할 권리가 있다." 본 논문은 진로교육의 개념과 철학적 상정을 토대로 사회적 요구 및 문제점 분석을 통하여 진로교육의 필요성과 목적을 탐색 하고 이를 진로교육 실천의 기본 방향으로 제시 하였다. 본 논문은 이러한 탐색 결과의 제시가 국가수준 또는 학회 수준에서 진로교육의 기본 실천 방향 및 목적에 관한 합의를 도출하는 논의의 출발점이 될 수 있기를 제안 하였다.

This study is to explore the basic concept, assumption, and necessities & purposes of career education. This study defined the basic concept of career education as "the educational process in which students are being helped to grow as socially productive and individually happy person depending upon guidance of career development and choice." Two assumptions are explored as follows: 1). Educational assumption on individuality: " Everyone has rights to live his life as an unique existence as he were born uniquely." 2). Educational assumption on human dignity: "Everyone has rights to live his life as a necessary and dignified human being." This study has identified 5 career objectives for individual development and the other 5 objectives for national development depending upon analysis of new educational demands of Korean society to stimulate debates on career education objectives for making national consensus.
