경찰학 교육 현황 및 실태에 대한 실증적인 분석

The Substantive Analysis for the Status and Real Condition in Police Science: the Focus on 87 Colleges in Korea

1963년 동국대학교 경찰행정학과를 시작으로 현재 전국에 경찰학과 관련된 교육 및 연구를 하고 있는 대학은 100여개 대학으로 나타나고 있다. 지난 50여년 동안 이 분야에서 교육 및 연구의 양적인면에서는 증가하였지만 질적인 면에서는 만족할만한 성과를 내지 못하고 있는 것이 현실이다. 특히 경찰학에 대한 학문적인 정체성, 대학의 편제와 학위, 교과과정 등에서 합리적인 대안을 제시하고 있지 못하고 있다. 이러한 문제가 발생하게 된 근본적인 이유는 기존 연구가 학문적인 정체성 확립에 우선순위를 두고 이론적인 접근 방법으로 연구되었고, 대학 편제와 학위, 교과과정에 대한 현황 및 실태 파악을 위한 정확한 분석단위 및 정형화된 틀이 마련되어 있지 않은 것으로 분석된다. 따라서 본 연구는 경찰학의 학문적인 정체성 확립을 위해 실질적으로 이루어지고 있는 대학 편제와 학위, 교과과정을 거시적 측면에서 조사ㆍ분석하여, 앞으로 경찰학 관련 교육 및 연구가 나아갈 미래지향적인 분석틀을 제시하고자 한다.

Establishing the subject of police-administration at Dongguk University in 1963, it appear that teaching and study about police science in domestic are 100places at now. Although having been increased quantitative for about 50years ago, it doesn't make a satisfying production aspects of the qualities of the teaching and study about police science. Especially, it doesn't make a rationality counterproposal identifying science, formation and degree of the college, standard of the curriculum for police science. As the environment to be occurred thatproblems, formerly study was researched by theoretical approaching methodology priority for identifying police science and it was not prepared accuracy analysis units and general boundary for formation and degree of the college, standard of the curriculum. Conclusion, as this study should be researched an actual survey of the formation and degree of the college, standard of the curriculum on macroscopic aspect for identifying police science, it suggest a future-oriented that will be analysis boundary for the education and study about police science.
