This study, first of all, set the management purposes of small business to occupation oriented, individual oriented, region oriented, innovation oriented, and development oriented. Through factor analysis, the factors for small business management purposes were derived. Based on the resulting factor score, a cluster analysis was conducted. Furthermore, the study aimed to detect features of small business management in accordance with their cluster through determining the characteristics of the categorized clusters. The result of the analysis are as follows: First, occupation oriented clusters were the largest group. Also this category was shown when married couples, working together, established a business and decided to take over existing enterprise or choose a familiar business field. Second, livelihood maintenance oriented clusters were the second largest. This kind of cluster appears when one is currently hiring two employers and chooses a familiar business field, thought he founds new business. Third, the regional attached developmental cluster was the smallest. As for the establishment of business, they often chose to take over the existent company or an acquainted field
