Study on the Experiences of Using Victim Support Program in Korea: Cases of Female Adolescent Survivors of Peer Sexual Violence

Recently, Korea witnessed the development and change in victim support system for sexual violence survivors. But there are a few study of Victim support system usage experience from perspective of sexual violence survivors. Moreover, the study focused on the peer adolescent sexual violence is quite rare. This study explored the peer adolescent sexual violence survivors and analysed their victim support system usage experience. For this purpose, in dept interview were conducted with survivors and mothers. Results indicated that survivors reveal features likes mothers support and use of alcohol, drugs, group sexual violence as relationship violence. Survivors also reveal about imperfections of victim support system from perspective of system accessibility, professionality, integrity. Based on finding, the study discussed theoretical implication for the finding and suggestions for providing services.
