대학교육과정의 창의핵심역량 요소에 대한 전문가 집단의 인식

Exploring students' creativity-core competencies in higher education curriculum from professors' perspectives

본 연구는 '창의ㆍ협력적 인재 양성'이라는 국가사회의 요구와 대학의 구성원인 교수 집단의 의견을 수렴하여 교육과정에 반영하고 개선하기 위한 기초 작업으로 수행되었다. 대학생 핵심역량에 대한 국내ㆍ외 선행연구 및 교육부 발간자료(발전방안) 등을 검토하였고, 대학교수들의 의견을 수렴하는 예비조사 과정을 거쳤다. 대학생 핵심역량의 주요 요소 및 대학커리큘럼에 중요하다고 생각하는 역량요소를 수집하고, 수집된 역량요소의 중요성에 대한 전문가집단의 인식을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 지방대 사립대학 교원들을 대상으로 대학의 교육과정으로 창의적 사고역량을 포함한 주요 핵심역량의 중요성을 어느 정도로 인식하고 있는 지 확인하였다. 분석 결과 핵심 역량 요소 중 대학교육과정 속에서 중요한 역량으로 분석된 것은 '창의적 사고능력'과 '인성과 덕성함양' '자기이해(관리)' '의사소통'이었다. 창의적 사고력, 비판적 사고력, 논리적 사고, 분석적 사고력 등 주요 사고력의 중요도에 대한 평정을 비교하였을 때, 창의적 사고력이 가장 높은 우선순위를 나타냈다. 창의적 사고역량의 중요성에 대한 평가는 교수들의 성별, 연령대, 전공영역, 직급 및 보직여부 등 교수들의 특성에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 주요 핵심역량 중 대학교육과정의 중요성에 대한 평가를 유의하게 설명하는 요소를 확인하기 위해 분석한 결과, 의사소통능력, 인간과 사회이해(풍부한 지식) 등의 요소가 유의한 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

This study was carried out as a preliminary investigation to improve a college curriculum reflecting the demand of the national community the opinions of faculty to foster creative and collaborative talents. We have reviewed domestic and international previous studies on core competencies of college students and the planning new educational policies and strategies published by the Ministry of Education, and have undergone a process of gathering and converging opinions from members of university colleges. We collects data on the key elements of the core competences and the competence elements considered be critical to curriculums analyzes the assessment of educational experts on the importance of the collected competence elements. To this purpose, a group of professors in private university in region P has been surveyed for the importance of main core competences including creative thinking skills as a curriculum of college. It turns out that "creative thinking skills" and "cultivating humanity and virtue" are considered as the most important core competences as a curriculum. The faculty assessment on the importance of creative thinking shows no statistically significant difference depending on their genders, ages, major areas, faculty ranks and positions.
