수ㆍ과학영재선발을 위한 회복탄력성의 활용 가능성

The Applicability of Resilience in Selecting Math and Science Gifted Students

본 연구는 회복탄력성이 영재를 선발하는 데 있어 중요한 평가요소로서 활용가능한지 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 수행하기 위하여 과학고 학생 129명과 일반고 학생 133명의 회복탄력성을 비교하였다. 연구결과, 회복탄력성의 총점과 하위요인 중 자기조절능력과 긍정성 요인이 유의미한 차이를 보였으며, 대인관계능력은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 자기조절능력은 모든 하위영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였으나 긍정성요인은 생활만족도영역에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 영재 선발에 있어 자기조절능력은 적극적으로 반영하고 대인관계능력과 긍정성요인은 소극적으로 반영하여 장기적인 성장가능성 측면에서 회복탄력성을 적극적으로 활용되어야 함을 설명하였다.

The purpose of this study was to verify the applicability of resilience as an important evaluation factor to select gifted students, and the subjects were 129 students of Science High School and 133 students of General High School. This study compared the resilience between the subjects of both schools using Resilience Questionnaire. The results of this study were as follows : First, self-regulation ability and positivity showed significant differences in the total score of resilience, however, interpersonal relations ability did not show meaningful differences among sub-factors. Second, self-regulation ability indicated significant differences among all sub-factors, however, positivity only showed significant differences in the area of living satisfaction. Therefore, resilience needs to be actively applied in selecting gifted students in terms of long-term growth by actively applying self-regulation and positivity factors and passively applying interpersonal relations ability and positivity factors.
