'Facts' and the Alleged Negative Statistical Relevance

이 논문에서 나는 원인의 긍정 통계관련성 원칙을 방어한다. 이를 위하여 그 원칙에 반하여 제기된 반례를 비판적으로 살펴 본 후, 이 반례들에서 'Pr(e | c) > Pr(e)'이 성립한다는 점을 보인다. 제시된 반례들이 성공적이지 않다는 것, 곧 반례들에서 'Pr(e | c) > Pr(e)'이 성립한다는 것을 보이기 위하여 필요한 것은 어떤 훌륭한 솜씨가 아니고 오히려 근본적으로 다른 존재론임을 논증한다. 새롭게 요구되는 존재론은 세상의 기본 구성요소로 사실을 인정하는 사실존재론이다.

I defend the principle of positive statistical relevance of cause in this paper. I proceed to examine that 'Pr(e | c) > Pr(e)' holds in the alleged counterexamples of PR. I argue that what is needed is not technical prowess but rather a different ontology, specifically a fact ontology, in meeting the challenge of showing that 'Pr(e | c) > Pr(e)' holds in the alleged counterexamples.
