평생교육학 분야의 질적 연구 동향분석(2000년-2013년)

Trend Analysis of Qualitative Research on Lifelong Education(2000-2013)

본 연구는 평생교육학 분야에서 2000년부터 2013년 사이에 진행된 질적 연구의 동향을 분석하여 질적 연구방법의 현황을 파악하고 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 '평생교육학연구'와 'Andragogy Today'에 게재된 질적 연구를 대상으로 연구 주제 및 목적, 연구 참여자 유형 및 선정 이유(기준) 제시 여부, 질적 연구 유형, 자료수집 방법, 타당도 확보 방안에 대한 분석을 실시했다. 본 연구결과에 따르면 질적 연구 비율은 788편 중 141편으로 총 17.8%를 차지하였다. 연구주제로는 '평생학습자', 연구 목적으로는 '이해', 연구 참여자 유형으로는 '일반 성인', 연구 유형으로는 '기본적 질적 연구', 자료수집 방법으로는 '개별 면담', '자료분석 방법'으로는 '언급 없음', 타당도 확보방안으로는 '참여자 확인'이 가장 많이 활용된 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 평생교육학 분야에서 질적 연구가 처한 현황과 앞으로 변화해야 할 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

This study examined a total of 141 papers published in 'Journal of Lifelong Education' and 'Andragogy Today' over a 14-year period(2000-2013) to analyze the trends of the qualitative research and propose necessary qualitative research procedures in the future. Qualitative research papers were analyzed into 'research topics', 'research purposes', 'research participants', 'qualitative research methodologies', 'data collection methods', and 'raising validity methods.' This study found that 'lifelong learner' in research topics, 'understanding' in research purposes, 'general adults' in research participants, 'general qualitative research' in qualitative research methodologies, 'interview' in data collection methods, 'no mention' in data analysis methods, and 'member checking' in raising validity methods were used most frequently. Based on the results of the study, academic recommendations and necessary research procedures were suggested.
