본고의 목적은 영남 지역 <시집살이노래>에 나타난 비애의 형성 방식을 살펴보는 것이다. 첫째, 접근 방법이다. 비애는 고난에 대한 해결이 부정적인 방향으로 이루어질 때 생긴다. <시집살이노래>에서 고난은 시집식구에 의하여 생긴 것과 시집생활에서 생긴 것이 있다. 화자는 고난에 대하여 탄식하기도 하고 해결하려하기도 한다. 해결하려 할 때 화자는 일정한 태도를 취한다. 그 태도에는 시도와 기대가 있다. 둘째, <시집살이노래>에 나타난 비애이다. <시집살이노래>에는 고난만 있는 각편과 고난에서 해결의 시도로의 전개가 있는 각편이 있다. <시집살이노래>에서 고난만 있는 각편에서 시집식구에 의하여 고난이 생길 경우 화자는 시집식구의 우호적인 반응을 기대할 만한 언행을 하지만 시집식구들은 정반대로 반응한다. 고난 속에 ‘기대→좌절’로의 전개가 있고, 이 ‘기대→좌절’로의 전개가 비애를 형성하는 요인이 된다. 고난만 있는 각편에서 시집생활에 의하여 고난이 생길 경우 화자는 시집생활에 대한 불안감이 있으며 이 불안감이 비애를 형성하는 요인이 된다. 고난에서 해결의 시도로의 전개가 있는 각편에서 해결의 시도는 중이 되는 것․자살하는 것 등이 대표적이다. 자살하는 것․중이 되는 것은 표면적으로는 해결의 시도이지만 실제로는 현실에서는 비정상적인 해결밖에 없다는 좌절을 나타낸다. 시도와 좌절이 복합되어 있으며 이 ‘시도와 좌절의 복합’이 비애를 형성하는 요인이다. 결국 영남 지역 <시집살이노래>에서 비애는 시집생활에 대한 화자의 불안감, ‘기대→좌절’로의 전개, ‘시도와 좌절의 복합’ 등으로 형성된다. ‘기대→좌절’로의 전개는 화자의 언행이 시집식구의 호의적인 반응을 기대할 만함에도 시집식구들이 정반대로 반응하는 것이다. 화자가 아무 잘못이 없음에도 구박을 받는 것과 같다. 억울함과 관련된다.
In this thesis, I aim at investigation at the Characteristic of sadness at <Patrilocality song> in Yeongnam area. The result is as follows. The method of study : The sadness is produced by getting solved the conflict. The conflict in <Patrilocality song> is produced by the outside or the inside. When conflict in <Patrilocality song> is produced by the outside, the speaker has the steady attitude during solving the conflict. The sadness is produced by the speaker's attitude or the speaker's psychology. The sadness in <Patrilocality song> : In the work with the conflict being produced by the outside, the sadness is produced by the speaker's expectation being concluded the frustration. In the work with the conflict being produced by the inside, the sadness is produced by the speaker's anxiety. In the work with the speaker's try being concluded the frustration, the speaker's try reveal the frustration and the speaker's try performs the role of emphasizing the sadness. After all, the sadness in <Patrilocality song> is produced by the speaker's expectation being concluded the frustration.
