This study is an analysis of images of Korea as recorded from the point of view of Turks who experienced Korea by participating in the Korean War and observed the migration and diaspora of the population. It meaningfully intertwines historical, cultural and comparative literature with the literature of war and the diaspora. For this analysis of Korea and the Korean people I have chosen two texts that clearly convey the participation of the troops in the Korean War: “Turks in the Korean War(Kore Savaşında Türkler)” and a drama by Sedat Veyis Ornek. My analysis focuses especially on the texts from “Turks in the Korean War (Kore Savaşında Türkler).” Both texts show the Korean War experience of writers who participated as UN army troops during the Korean War and their image of Korea and the Korean people. It is interesting that the image of Korea during the war reveals the gender discourse in Korean War literature of Turkey. They focused on the relationship between women and men, especially prostitutes and hostesses. Through these women who were‘exchanged’ by men and in the situation of sex trafficking, they tried to analyze the war and colonization in Korea.
