유아교육과 남학생들이 보여주는 전공 속 삶의 모습

Lives of Male Students in the Department of Early Childhood Education

본 연구는 유아교육과에 재학하고 있는 남학생들의 전공 속 삶의 이야기를 들어봄으로써 남학생들이 좀 더 긍정적으로 현재의 삶을 유지하고, 미래에 대한 희망과 기대감을 가질 수 있도록 지지해주며 그들의 진정한 삶의 모습을 이해하고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 10명의 유아교육과 남학생들을 대상으로 반구조화 된 개별 면담 및 집단면담 등을 통해 그들의 삶의 이야기를 녹음하고 전사하여 분석하는 과정을 거쳤다. 분석 결과 유아교육과 지원동기와 사회적 시선은 현재의 학과 생활에 긍정적으로 혹은 부정적으로 영향을 미치고 있다. 다음으로 유아교육과 남학생들은 학과생활 중 여학생들과의 관계와 학문적 어려움(과제해결력)에 따라 적응 양상은 다르게 나타났다. 마지막으로 미래에 유아교육을 하겠다는 연구참여자들은 유아교육과 학생으로서, 유아교사로서 미래의 모습을 그려보았다.

This research was conducted to understand male students in early childhood education by looking in their lives. Also this is for helping them maintain their current lives more positive and supporting them to have more confident and vision about their future. For this research, we collected 10 male students and had individual and group interview. We recoded, transcribed and analyzed their lives while we had interview. We collected the data and found out that reasons for application to school of early childhood education and eyes from society is affecting to the school lives. Next, they were different aspects of adaptation depending on difficulty of academic(problem solving skills) and relationships with girlfriends, such as the department. Lastly, as male students in early childhood education, as early childhood male teachers they drew future of their lives.
