만 2세반 다문화가정과 일반가정 영아의 놀이성과 기관적응에 관한 비교연구

Playfulness and Adjustment to child care center between Toddlers from Multi-cultural Families and ones from General Families in 2-year-old Toddler Class

본 연구는 만 2세반에 재원 중인 다문화가정과 일반가정 영아의 놀이성과 기관적응을 비교분석하여 그들의 놀이성과 안정적인 기관적응을 돕는 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 경기도 소재 어린이집 78개소에 재원 중인 다문화가정 영아 91명과 일반가정 영아 119명으로 총 210명이다. 교사가 입학초기 영아들의 놀이성과 기관적응 정도를 평가한 자료를 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화가정과 일반가정 영아의 놀이성은 놀이성의 일부 하위요인들에서 두 집단 간의 차이가 나타났고, 사후분석결과 성별, 월령에 따라 차이점이 드러났다. 둘째, 다문화가정과 일반가정 영아의 기관적응에서는 두 집단 간의 차이가 나타나지 않았으며, 사후분석결과 성별에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 위계적 회귀분석결과 영아의 성별, 연령 등 개인적 특성과 가정유형 보다는 영아의 놀이성 중 사회적 자발성, 즐거움의 표현, 유머감각이 기관적응에 주요한 영향력을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과로부터 다문화가정과 일반가정 영아의 기관적응을 돕는 결정적인 변인인 놀이성 발달을 증진시키기 위하여 영아와 부모, 교사를 지원 할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 모색하고, 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 도출하였다.

This study aims to conduct comparative study to investigate playfulness and adjustment to child care center between toddlers from multi-cultural families and general families, and to provide effective ways for the teachers to guide the toddlers to adjust themselves to the child care center stably. The subjects were 91 toddlers from multi-cultural families and 119 toddlers from general families, who are in 78 child care centers of Kyeonggi Province. Teachers, who are in charge of 2-year-old multi-cultural integrated classes at child care centers, observed and assessed the 210 toddlers' playfulness and adjustment. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and hierarchial regression analysis, using SPSS 18.0 program. The major findings of this study were as follows; First, there were differences in sub-factors of playfulness in terms of child's gender and age between toddlers from multi-cultural families and general families. Second, difference was not found between two groups in toddlers' adjustment to child care center. Finally, based on the results of hierarchial regression analysis, social spontaneity, expression of enjoyment, and sense of humor, which are sub-factors of playfulness, significantly explain their adjustment to child care center. The present study proposes effective methods to facilitate toddler's adjustment to child care center through playfulness and further discusses the implications for future research.
