A Study on The Facial Image according to the Make-up style variations of Square Face Shape

This study has attempted to propose a model aimed to express changes in square faceimages through a comparative analysis of differences in face images after performing acomputer simulation on square face image by type of makeup. In terms of researchmethod, transforming the square face into three different types (eyebrow type: 5, eyeshadow type: 2 and the lips-type: through makeup. Then, the stimulants were evaluatedthrough a comparison of makeup photos. For this, a factor analysis, ANOVA, andDuncan's Multiple Range Test have been carried out. According to these analyses, theywere classified into four factors: innocence, sociability, modernity, and dignity. It has beenconfirmed that eyebrow, eye shadow, and lip types have a significant effect on faceimages. Regarding the four factors, innocence includes round eye shadow andarrow-shape eyebrows with straight lips, while sociability includes out-curved lips withround eye shadow and arrow-shape eyebrows. In addition, modernity includes out-curvedlips with round/ascending eye shadow and linear eyebrows, and dignity includesin-curved lips with ascending eye shadow and arrow-type eyebrows. Therefore, thisstudy is significant in that perception on the square face can change depending on thetype of makeup. Based on these results, it is necessary to perform a further study considering other variables such as images by change in makeup color, different facialshape, age, and gender.
