The Development method of Taekwondo in the Era of Globalization

Taekwondo includes educational value that cultivates moral men who are required in our society by building up mental and intellectual discipline through physical activity going beyond a simple martial art. This Taekwondo is settled as sports of the world by being globalized. Results of this study are as follows: 1. 6 million black belt holders in 182 countries and 70 million members around the world are searched for the meaning of life by being fascinated by Taekwondo, which is the Korean traditional martial art, regardless of ideologies and religions. In this reality, scientific and systematic study is required from the qualitative perspective. 2. Taekwondo has been established as a field of learning. Therefore, the pioneering and development of education and administration that can guide all education programs of Taekwondo and manage it based on integrative plan are needed by instructing theory-oriented knowledge rather than practice-oriented knowledge. 3. The programs for training professionals and marketing methods in the Taekwondo are required for the development of cultural industry. The well-developed network of the 182 countries across the world can be used around the national Taekwondo park. 4. In order to globalize Taekwondo, which is the worldwide cultural heritage, the exchange, mutual cooperation, and integration of government, and people who are concerned with the Taekwondo federation, International Taekwondo Federation (ITF), and World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) are needed. 5. Countries around the world accept Taekwondo as part of life gymnastics and attempt to develop Taekwondo as popular sports. In accordance with this trend, the development, progress, and distribution of educational programs in the combination of culture, which are desired by trainees, are required.
