The root of Angelica koreana MAXIMOWICZ (Umbelliferae) known as "Kang-whal" in korea used for the treatment of common cold, headache and gout etc. The comparative anatomy of Angelica koreana MAXIMOWICZ and A.purpuraefolia CHUNG was presented. A great part of the report was dealed with the differences in the comparative histology of root, stem, main vein in leaf and fruits.
