중국 소비자의 한류 상품 선호 심리

The Study on the Psychology of Chinese Preference for the Korean Waves, based on the Conformity Effect and the Balance Theory

본 연구는 중국 소비자가 한류상품을 선호하는 심리적 이유를 동조효과와 균형이론에서 찾으려고 했다. 중국 소비자의 한류 선호 맥락에서 동조효과는 동료집단의 영향을 받아 한류 상품을 좋아하는 것이고, 균형이론은 본인이 선망하는 한류 스타 때문에 해당 한류 상품을 좋아하는 것이다. 중국 베이징의 대학생들을 대상으로 한 실험연구에서 다음과 같은 사항을 발견하였다. 드라마, 대중가요, 영화, 음식, 게임, 패션, 관광 등 모든 한류 상품 유형에서 동조효과가 나타났다. 즉 동조효과의 영향을 많이 받는 중국 소비자는 동조효과의 영향을 적게 받는 중국 소비자에 비해, 한류 상품을 더 호의적으로 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 드라마의 경우 한류 호감이 높은 집단에서 동조효과가 강했고, 가요와 음식의 경우 한류 호감이 낮은 집단에서 동조효과가 강했다. 영화의 경우 동조효과가 잘 나타나지 않았고, 게임, 패션, 관광의 경우 한류 호감 정도와 상관없이 동조효과가 잘 나타났다. 또한, 균형이론 효과는 드라마, 가요, 영화 분야에서 크게 나타났고, 나머지 분야는 상대적으로 적게 나타났다. 한편, 음식, 패션, 관광 분야의 경우 한류 호감 정도가 낮을 때 균형이론 효과가 잘 나타났다.

This Study researched psychological mechanisms of the korean waves in the context of the conformity effect and the balance theory. The conformity effect means the impacts of reference group on preference, and the balance theory is related with the effects of entertainment stars. The results of experimental studywere following. The impacts of the conformity effect on the chinese consumers were extensive. The group of the high conformity effect condition preferred all kind of the koreanwaves to the group of the lowcondition. Specifically, the consumers who have considered the koreanwaves favorably preferred the korean TV dramas by the influence of the conformity effect, however, the consumers who have thought the waves unfavorably preferred the korean pops and foods by the influence of the effect. The conformity effect have rarely impacted on the chinese in the case of movie, but the effect have influenced on them in computer games, fashion, and tourism without regard to the chinese usual preference for the korean waves. By the way, the effects of the balance theory influenced on them intensively in TV dramas, pops, and movies, and the consumers who have thought the korean waves unfavorably preferred the Korean foods, fashion, and tours by the influence of the balance theory.
