중국유교문화에 입각한 윤리적 리더십 사례연구

A Case Study of Ethical Leadership Based on Chinese Traditional Culture: Chairman Wu of GoodArk in Suzhou, China

본 연구는 중국유교문화에 입각한 윤리적 리더십이 기업문화 및 직원의 조직몰 입에 미치는 영향을 탐색하기 위해 중국 쑤저우 GoodArk사의 Wu회장의 리더십 사례를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 “윤리적 리더십” 및 “중국유교문화가 윤리 적 리더십에 미치는 영향”과 관련된 문헌연구를 정리하여 사례연구를 위한 연구 질 문을 제시하였다. 사례연구를 위해 GoodArk사의 Wu회장과 직원들을 심층 인터 뷰 하였고, 회사 내부 자료와 추가 질문을 통해 자료를 확보하였다. 사례를 실증적 으로 살펴본 결과 중국유교문화에 입각한 윤리적 리더십이 기업문화 및 직원의 조 직몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 한편, 중국유교문화에 입각한 기업문화도 직원의 조직몰입을 촉진하는데 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

This study concerns on how ethical leadership based on the Chinese tradition, effects on corporate culture and organizational commitments of employees. In order to explore this, we have looked into Chariman Wu's leadership in GoodArk cooperation in Suzhou, China. To begin with, overall definitions on ethical leadership is explained and ethical leadership with Chinese traditional culture and its influence are discussed. Drawn from this, research questions are proposed. For research methodology, case study approach is taken with in-depth interviews to explore the research issues. The interview were conducted with Chairman Wu and his employees. Based on literature reviews and our interpretation of the collected data depicts how ethical leadership which is based on Chinese culture is developed and practiced within the GoodArk cooperation. Our research contributions are two fold. First, we incorporate the theory of ethical leadership with traditional Chinese culture. Second, this study provides useful insights and challenges that Chinese companies face in regards to organizational commitments of employees to meet changing business environment.
