A Study on Palestinian National Poet Mahmud Darwish

In 1988, the Egyptian novelist Najib Mahfuz(1912-) won the honor of a Nobel prize for the literature for the first time in Arab countries. Darwish's poetic world has been changed so much after he left Palestine in 1971. Because he could experience board world and art. The world of his art have been deepened and expanded. Normally his poetry is divided into three periods. The first one is the period of lyrics before he left Palestine. The second one is the transitional period. It is the period of switching over from lyrics to dramatic poetry in 1970's and the last one is the period of adolescent dramatic poetry after he left Beirut again in 1982. I want to look about the appearance of transfiguration of his diction with the special emphasis on metaphor, parody, irony and paradox.
