「칼릴라와 딤나」의 서문에 나타난 종교 사상

The Religious Thought in the Preface of「Kalila wa Dimna」 -The Chapter of Barzawaih-

「Kalila wa Dimna」incluses the Hindi, the Persian and the Islamic thoughts. This article studies the Persian religious thought included in the Chapter of Barzawaih. There are two groups of opinions about the writer of this chapter; one group tells Barzawaih and the other group tells Ibn al-Muqaffa' as the writer. But the two groups commonly point out this Chapter being based on the Manichaeism. Barzawaih suffered for the choice of the religion and for the dilemma between the job of the doctor and the ascetic as he pursuited the ideal life. At last, he didn't choose any religion and decided to live following the universal truth. This article finds out that his thought is based on the dualism and the asceticism and the pessimism and the universal view of world which are the doctrines of the Manichaeism.
