This study explores the amount and types of smart phone user's cyber deviance. In addition, this study applies three major theories of deviance to explain smart phone cyber deviance. It tests the effects of low self-control, strains in family and school activities, and differential associations with deviants and compare those effects with desktop, notebook, and smart phone users. Using data from 762 university students in Seoul, this study shows that the amount of cyber deviance is larger in smart phone users than other type of users, but the types of cyber deviance is not different across three type users. Results show that both low self-control and association with deviants have significant effects on smart phone user's cyber deviance, but they have no significant effects on other user's cyber deviance. It is also found that strain factors have no significant effect on smart phone user's cyber deviance. However, low GPA students are more likely to commit cyber deviance in desktop users.
