A Study on the Conjugation of the Imperfect Verbs in Arabic

This study aims to analyze the difference and find the relation between the case form and the mood type of the Arabic imperfect verb. It is generally said that the mood type is represented by the case form of the imperfect verb in Arabic. However, one case form does not match with one mood type usually, but represents a few types of the mood. Therefore, we should reconsider and re-describe what the difference between the case form and the mood type is, and how the distinction between them is to be taught to the foreign learners of the Arabic language so that they could get the real idea of these typical characteristics of the Arabic language.
