A Comparative Study on Takhlis al-Ibriz fi Takhlis Baris and Seo Yo Kyon Mun

and Korean narrative works at the outset of modern time, noting that the enlightening narrative works both Egyptian and Korean literatures -particulary during that period- show several points of resemblance more than points of difference. It has been clear through this paper that each of "Takhlis al-Ibris fi Talkhis Baris" and "Seo Yo Kyun Mun" are considered the first two enlightening books in each of the Egyptian and Korean literature. By comparing the texts of the two books, I have found points of resemblance and points of difference in the method of presenting the subjects and thoughts. But the points of resemblance were far more than the points of difference until they were sometimes identical as if one of the writers used to copy from the other.
