This paper aims to study of the transliteration of Arabic alphabet into Korean alphabet (Hangeul). The Arabic alphabet is to record Arabic, Persian and Turkish before the year of 1929. First, the basic principles of the Transliteration of the loanwords into Hangeul by the National Academy of the Korean Language are examined, and several notations of improvements are suggested. After them follow the analysis of the Arabic transliteration in aspects of segmental phonemes (consonants and vowels), words, phrases, clauses and idioms. In conclusion, the optimal and desirable rules of the transliteration used by the various end-users are suggested. The patterns of the Arabic transliteration are divided into scholastic pattern which needs the more actual and precise transliteration notation, and non-scholastic pattern which needs more general and practical transliteration notation.
