Different from the traditional marriage, a contract marriage is being performed by the Shia's which is known as mut'ah. The Sunnis state that the Mut'ah, an abnormal type of marriage, is illegal in terms of Islamic law since the years are limited in such weddings. Ironically there is similar types of marriages which are based on sexual and un-traditional purposes between the Sunnis also. In Egypt they have their own contract marriage system, the 'Urfī marriage and the nations in the GCC have theirs: the Misyār marriage. The Misyār marriage is mostly customized in GCC nations, but the Misfār, which derived from the Misyār marriage is taking place abroad which the critics judge as a prostitution marriage. Unbelievably this marriage is legalized in the most strictly governed Islamic nation, Saudi Arabia. The number of Misyār marriage is rising among the gulf areas mostly because there are high rates of divorce, discrepancy of male and female education, the strictly forbid of extramarital intercourse by Islamic law and lastly need of great expense in marriage. The Misyār marriage in the gulf areas is questionable to the term prostitution marriage, because of various reasons that improved the authorities of female citizens on sexual decisions. However the Misyār marriage between female citizens from relatively low GDP nations, such as Egypt, Morocco, India and Indonesia, and male citizens from GCC nations, it is undoubtedly similar to prostitution and is creating unforeseen issues throughout their society. Therefore it is hard to define Misyār with the word prostitution. To define this system, one must look beyond the curtains and should look in a more wide perspective of the person's personal, and social view.
