Among many arab countries, Gulf region are typically depicted as "bastions of patriarchy and male chauvinism" culture. This cultural description emphasizes on social gender space distinguished between men and women, and in which, women's proper sphere is considered as inside private house, while men's place is located in the outside public realm. Therefore, leader's position as well as leadership are considered to be suit to only male. However, there is a recent growing tendency for UAE women to participate in the workforce mainly due to the UAE's Emiratization policy (workforce nationalization), and UAE women started to be 'visible' in the public space not only as a workforce but also as a leader. Taking the current situation into consideration, this article explores women leader's characteristics in the UAE and its directing points.
