교육재정･경제학 연구방법론 동향 및 과제

The trend analysis and new direction of a research methodology of the economics and finance of education

이 연구는 교육재정･경제학 연구방법론의 관점에 대해 이론적으로 논의하 고, 지난 24년 동안(창간호~2014년 12월호) 교육재정경제연구 학술지에 게재 된 논문을 대상으로 연구방법의 동향을 실증적으로 분석한 후 그에 대한 시사 점을 추론하였다. 이 연구의 분석도구는 네트워크 텍스트 분석기법이였다. 분 석결과, 첫째, 1992년 창간호 이후 연구방법은 기술적 연구, 양적 연구, 서술적 연구 순으로 많았으나 2000년대 중반 이후 양적연구 방법의 증가세가 두드러 진 반면에 기술적 연구와 서술적 연구의 비율은 감소하고 있었다. 둘째, 논문 들의 핵심 연구방법으로는 회귀분석이 가장 많이 사용해 왔고, 2000년대 중반 이후부터는 DEA, DID, 비모수검증, 구조방정식모형, 군집분석, 요인분석 등 일종의 고급통계 중심으로 분석방법이 다양화되고 있었다. 셋째, 주요 연구 주 제와 분석방법 간의 네트워크 분석 결과, 대학과 학업성취도, 사교육 등의 연 구 영역에서는 평균 혹은 비율차이 검정을 동반한 회귀식의 추정이 주된 연구 방법으로 사용되었고, 대학등록금 등의 연구주제는 DEA, 비모수검정과 강한 연결을 보이고 있었으며, 그밖에 형평성, 학자금대출 등이 경향점수매칭과 공 평성 측정 등을 통해 연구되고 있었다. 교육재정･경제학이라는 학문 특성상 실증적인 데이터 기반의 분석연구방법이 주류를 이룰 수밖에 없지만, 이 연구 에서는 연구주제와 연구방법의 다양성 차원에서 연구방법론에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the trend of a research methodology of the economics and finance of education and to suggest a new direction for diversity in a research methodology of it. The method applied in this study was a network text analysis to solve the purpose of this study. The results found in this study were as followings. First, the main methodology since 1992 were in sequence a descriptive analysis and then a qualitative approach, a discourse method, et. al.. However, from the mid-2000s, the dramatic rise of a qualitative approach in the area of the economics and finance of education came in at first. On the other hand, a descriptive analysis and a discourse method was decreasing since then. Second, the core method in the field of an economics and finance of education was a regression analysis and the advanced methods such as DEA, DID, non-parametric analysis, structure analysis, factor analysis had been applied since the mid-2000s. Third, the results of analyzing the relationship between research topics and methods showed that the studies concerning of an academic achievement, a private academy, and so on have largely used a regression analysis as a core method. The studies for the tuition and fee of an university have applied a methods such as DEA and non-parametric analysis. Finally, several implications for the future research methodology were discussed concerning the studies of an economics and finance of education.
