The automotive sector was excluded in discussions about tariff concessions during the Korea - China FTA negotiations. What were included in the tariff concessions negotiation for auto parts and tires are abolished tariffs over the next 20 years and 15 years respectively. South Korea's auto parts industry players have greatly disappointed because the early elimination of tariffs in the FTA was expected. This study therefore looked at the current situation of Chinese auto parts industry production and sales, with a focus on export and import. Also, what happened was analyzed for any change in China's auto parts industry to share and international status. Attempt to derive the conclusion to target the automotive parts industry as the estimated index for competitive advantage analysis. In addition, this study analyzed the HS code classification of automotive parts. In particular the follow indices was analyzed: competition advantage indices for world export market share, trade comparative index, utilizing the comparative advantage index. Finally, a look at the Competitiveness of Chinese auto parts industry in the next issue is presented with the industry registering low export, skill levels and lack of investment in R & D expenses, economies of scale due to the failure of a small business size, lack of development of its own brand and product standardization, integration, specialization items that quality level of labor-intensive exports.
