사목의 쇄신을 위한 ‘첫 걸음’(primerear)

본 논고는 우리 시대에 더는 유보할 수 없는 교회 쇄신의 이유를 교종 프란치스코의 사도적 권고 「복음의 기쁨」을 통해 제시하고 있다. 교종은‘신앙의 해’(2013) 폐막에 맞춰 출판한 이 문헌을 통해, 세상을 향한 복음 선포를 권고하고 있다. 그는 복음화의 사명을 강화시키고, 교회의 진로에 대한 전망을 제시하는 가운데 교회와 각 개별 그리스도인에게 신앙의 쇄신을 요청한다. 교황의 관심사와 문제제기는 우리를 선교적 교회에 대한 그의 ‘꿈’(EG, 27항)에 동참시킨다. 교회의 선교적 투신은 교회 활동의 부차적인 수행이 아니라, 오히려 교회의 기본 사명이고 교회의 온전한 활동 자체이다. 또한 교회의 선교적 투신은 바로 교회 쇄신에 관한 사안이기도 하다. 여기에서 교회의 쇄신은 구체적인 사목 활동과 그 구조의 쇄신으로 이어진다. 이 사목은 종전의 구태의연한 사목 방식에서 과감히 탈피하여, 다시 복음의 원천으로 돌아가 그 기쁨과 열의로 선교의 첫 걸음을 내딛는 도전이기 때문이다. 우리는 이 과정 자체를 ‘새로운 복음화의 여정’이라고 부른다. 교종이 촉구한 ‘선교적’ 사목 활동의 쇄신은 각 개별 교회마다, 그리고 각 본당 사목구마다 그가 대면해야 하는 시대와 세대, 특수한 사목 환경 등을 고려하여 새로운 복음화의 여정을 다양하게 구상하고 공동체 구성원이 함께 고민하고 참여하고 협력하여 결실을 거두는 일련의 단계적 실행을 거친다. 새로운 복음화의 길은 누구도 예외 없이 선교적 ‘첫걸음을 내딛게’ 하는 복음의 힘으로 용기 있게 ‘뛰어들고’, 신뢰 속에 ‘함께 가고’,‘열매 맺고’, 이를 두고 ‘기쁨의 축제를 지내는’, 선교하는 예수의 제자로 성장시킬 뿐만 아니라 오늘날 세상 속에 하느님 나라 건설도 활발히 촉진시킨다.

This paper represents the Apostolic Letter 「Evangelii Gaudium」 of Pope Francis deep insight into the reason for the renewal of the Church, which can not be moved in our time. After the conclusion of the Year of Faith (2013) published at the same time the Pope Francis papal document 「Evangelii Gaudium」 and thus presented a Exhortation on the proclamation of the Gospel in the world today. It thus confirms the task of evangelization, shows prospects for the way the church in the future and encouraged the church and every individual Christian to renew the faith. Along the main concerns and issues allows us to Pope Francis to his dream (cf. EG, 27) of a missionary Church to participate.
