A study on the Use, Perceive and Needs of Banking Services on Campus

This study investigated how university students and faculty use, perceive, and need with banking services on campus. Main results were as follows. First, usage according to general characteristics of research subjects showed no particular differences but usage among faculty and usage among students showed significant differences. While there were no particular differences in numbers of visitation or purposes for visitation to the Bank on campus, in ATM machine usage, students used the ATM machine for cash withdrawal 1 to 2 times a week while faculty members only used it 1 to 2 times a month. Cash deposits were also made more often by students than by faculty members. Second, while students and faculty members were mostly satisfied with the expertise of the Bank on campus, they were all dissatisfied with services related to finance consumer issues. Also, with regards to convenience, employee response, and the provision of additional services, faculty members expressed more satisfaction than students. Third, 83.8% of students and 44.6% of the faculty had things that they hoped for from the Bank on campus. Common opinions for the bank were improvements in waiting time due to a lack of teller windows, an increase in benefits for University members, better accessibility, and improvements in hospitality. With regards to the ATM machines, opinions requested an increase in machine numbers, sanitary management, charge reductions, improvements made for frequent machine failures, and increased cash reserves.
