Understanding Public Fears on New Food Technologies:Testing Joint Effects of Cross-Situational Value Predispositions and Situational Perceptive Variables on Risk Perception about the GMO Food Issue

식품 관련 신기술에 관한 공중의 공포감 이해에 관한 연구:교차적 상황적 가치 성향과 상황적 인식 변수가 유전자 변형 식품 이슈의 위해성 인식에 공동으로 미치는 영향 분석

본 연구는 위해성 인식이라는 개념을 설명하고자 다양한 변수들간의 상관 관계를 분석하였다. 특히, 신소재 식품들 중 유전자 변형식품 이슈를 통해 기술낙관론, 종교, 정치적 이념, 상황적 지각 프레임과 위해성 인식 간의 상호관계를 조사하였다. 또한 위해성 인식 및 기술 낙관 론에 있어서 공중의 유형과 성별에 따른 차이를 비교 분석하였다.

This paper explores dynamics of variables that better account for the concept of risk perception. This study examines the relationships between technology optimism, religiosity, political ideology, situational perceptual frames, and risk perception about new food technologies such as the issue of genetically-modified organism (GMO) food. In addition, it compares the differences displayed by public types and gender in risk perception and in technology optimism (64 words).
