기독교가 성에 대한 갖는 태도는 무엇인가? 10계명 중 일곱 번째 계명을 이유로 우리는 성적인 담론과 토론을 거부하고 어두운 곳으로 밀어 내 버린다. 그리고 신앙으로 성적인 문제를 충분히 해결될 수 있다고 믿는다. 그 결과 억압되었거나 부정 되었던 성욕은 결국은 우리를 함몰시키려는 적으로 다가오게 된다. 세상은 사랑이라는 명목을 분화시켜 수많은 이론으로 간음할 수밖에 없는 이유들을 제시한다. 그들은 오답을 설정하고 그 오답이 왜 정답인지를 반증한다. 기독교는 오직 간음하지 말라는 정답 한 가지만 가지고 외로운 싸움을 해야 한다. 이 시대는 현대 기독교인들에게 기독교가 왜 7계를 지켜야 하는지 논리적으로 변증할 필요가 있다. 억압적이고 선포적 방법만으로 그들을 설득할 수 없을 것이다. 수많은 기독교인들의 가정이 성적인 문제로 무너지고 있다. 이것을 믿음의 문제로만 정죄하기보다 교회에서 도와줄 수 있어야 한다. 왜 그것을 목숨처럼 지켜 내야 하는지 연구해야만 한다. 얼마나 성적 충동을 잘 다루어 내느냐가 가정과 교회를 지키는 힘이 된다. 그리고 이것이 신앙 여정에 승패를 좌우한다. 필자는 이 글을 통해서 평상시 기독교적 담론 안으로 가져오기를 꺼려했던 성적 주제를 함께 논의해 보고 왜 간음하지 말라는 7계명을 우리가 꼭 지켜내야만 하는 가를 다시 반증하려 한다.

What attitude does Christianity have towards sex? Because of the 7th of the Ten Commandments, we reject discourse and debate of sex and push away in the darkness. We believe that sexual problem can be solved by faith. Consequently suppressed and rejected sexual desire comes up to dent ourselves. People suggest the reason why we are headed towards adultery with the theories divided into name of love. They set the wrong answer and prove against that why wrong answer is the right answer. Christianity are having lonely fight with only one right answer, 'You shall not commit adultery.' Christianity has to demonstrate why people need to keep the 7th of the Ten Commandments logically. People cannot be persuaded by only repressed and proclamatory ways. Churches should play the role to help the many fallen families with sexual adultery rather than point out by case of faith. We have to study why people should keep it upon their lives. It would be the power to protect the churches and families to deal with sexual drive. It can determine the outcome on the way of the faith. Through this writing I would discuss sexual subjects which are not usually involved in Christian discourse and again prove against that why we should keep the 7th of the Ten Commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
