영재학생의 완벽주의 관련 연구 동향 분석

Research Trend Analysis on Perfectionism of Gifted Students

본 연구는 영재의 완벽주의 관련 연구의 동향을 분석하고, 앞으로 영재의 완벽주의 성향 연구가 나아갈 방향을 살펴보고자한다. 학술연구정보서비스에서 검색된 ‘영재의 완벽주의’와 관련한 국내 논문 16편, 해외 논문 57편이 분석에 사용되었으며, 연구 시기, 연구 대상, 연구 주제, 연구 방법으로 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 영재의 완벽주의 관련 연구는 국내에서는 2004년 이후, 해외에서는 2000 년 이후로 연구가 활발히 되었고, 연구의 수가 증가하는 추세를 보인다. 연구 대상별로는 단일 학교 급의 중학생, 초등학생, 고등학생을 대상으로 실시된 연구가 많았다. 많이 연구가 된 주제는 영재의 특성으로서 완벽주의와 그 차원을 확인하는 연구이며, 정서적 특성 변인과의 관계를 다룬 연구, 인지적 특성 변인과 완벽주의의 관계를 다룬 연구가 많았다. 연구방법에서는 상관연구가 가장 많은 부분을 차지하고 있다. 선행연구들에서 영재학생의 완벽주의에 대한 연구가 다각도로 시도가 되었음에도 불구하고 영재 학생의 완벽주의 성향의 형성과 발달에 대한 일치된 견해나 구체적인 설명이 부족하며, 특히 국내의 경우 해외에 비해 전반적으로 영재의 완벽주의 성향에 대한 연구는 매우 미흡한 실정이므로 앞으로 보다 다양한 주제와 접근 방법에서 활발한 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다.

This study researched educational studies concerned with perfectionism in gifted students, and the direction of research concerned with gifted students. Research subjects, topics, and methods from 16 domestic papers and 57 foreign papers were analyzed after searching in domestic and foreign academic research databases for papers related to “perfectionism of gifted students.” As a result of the analysis, research related to the perfectionism of gifted students was found to have begun in 2000 abroad, and in 2004 domestically, after which the number of studies increased. Also, there were many studies on the subject of students within only a single elementary, middle, or high school grade. Therefore, it is thought that an attempt to widen the breadth of study subjects is required. The topic that was most often researched domestically and abroad was on perfectionism as a characteristic of gifted students, and the extent of the tendency towards perfectionism of those students. The second most common topic was in relation to variables of emotional characteristics, and the third most common topic was the relationship between cognitive variables and perfectionism. However, there are no studies about topics such as careers, program development, or equipment validation. Also, studies on the perfectionism of gifted students in advanced studies have been attempted in various aspects, but there is no specific explanation or corresponding thought on the formation or development of perfectionism in gifted students. In particular, domestic studies on this tendency towards perfectionism are very insufficient compared to those abroad; therefore, more studies with varied topics and methods need to take place in the future.
