공무원들의 외모관심도에 따른 외모관리태도 및 미용교육 필요성 인식 연구

A Study on the Relationship of Concern for Appearance to Appearance Management Attitude and Awareness of the Necessity of Beauty Art Education in Public Officials -Focusing on individuals handling civil affairs, healthcare and education-related issues among government employees in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk area

The objective of this research is to study the need for beauty education. It was conducted through comparative analysis concerning the occupational characteristics, perceptions of beauty, importance and interest in appearance, and the difference between occupations as pertaining to the study subjects, who were public officials with tasks that involve a great deal of interpersonal relationships and relationships and trust between members. As for differences in concern for appearance between the government workers and the people with the other kinds of occupations, 91.1 percent of the public officials had a high interest in their appearance, and 76.2 percent of them had a low interest. The images of the government workers about their own appearance were different from those of the people with the other kinds of occupations according to their concern for appearance. By observing the desire for image education based on the interest in appearance, 92.9% reported a desire for education. The desire to change one's appearance by receiving beauty education was shown to be 92.6% among the subjects having a high interest in appearance. Based on these findings, public officials require organized beauty education, with an urgent need for the development of various beauty education programs for this population.
