7-Section&Zone for Scalp Division Used in Cutting Hair

As the needs of customers at hair salons has become more diverse with changes in time and trends, hair designers should quickly understand the trends of time and develop their functional abilities further. A focus should be given to the organized development of practical hair cut techniques through easy education of organized methods as hair cutting is a basic skill to represent hair design. This study examined cutting methods presented from pivot points and previous studies to understand head division techniques for the head shapes of Asian people using a zone and section principle presented by a Japanese hair design education institute. This study focused on a seven sectioned pattern which divides the head into seven sections for cutting. Hair designers can understand which sections of the head to design when heads are divided into seven sections. When they design each zone like a puzzle, they can create the hair style that customers want. Therefore, it is expected that this study will be a guide for hair designers to use the seven sections or zones for further development in haircutting.
