A historical novel Samkukchi's anadaptation of former printing type novel

The objective of this essay is to address the creation and developing patterns of the literatures that has been originated from 「a historical novel Samkukchi」. Most of those literatures that has been originated from 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 in the 20th century which to published to the public described about heroic people and its time which is very similar to the storyline of 「a historical novel Samkukchi」. With understanding that 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 is the basis for those literatures, it is not surprised that they have such patterns. However, some of those literatures such as 「Jegallyang-ieon」, 「Mrs. Whang-ieon」, 「Jojaryong-jeon」, that are also based on 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 showed that they created their own style to tell their story. For example, 「Jegallyang-ieon」 even omitted detailed explanation about "Chukpyuk great battle" which is representation of that 「 Jegallyang-ieon」 followed patterns of "a senior envoy Samkukchi" and "Jegallyang's jeon" which is secondary book of Samkukchi rather than 「a historical novel Samkukchi」‘s one. Because of the fact, it could be seemed that 「Jegallyang-ieon」 is book about Jegallyang. Additionally, the fact that the book tried to mention the society's current issues at that time could lead where 「Jegallyang-ieon」 has very close relationship with enlightenment discussion. By realizing this, Jegallyang-ieon was influenced by enlightenment discussion that writer's own opinion is involved in the book. 「Mrs. Whang-ieon」 is the book influenced by 「Mrs. park-jeon」. They, however, could be distinguished by not only describing rivalism and Mrs. Whang‘s riddance but also showing narration that 「Mrs. Whang-ieon」 described Mrs. Whang as a woman who inspired outstanding men. This narrative form of novels, such as 「Mrs. Whang-ieon」, significantly developed in the late 19th century. 「Jojaryong-jeon」 is novel that just uses the same characters of 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 but have completely different style and pattern. Meanwhile, jojo‘s character from 「 Chukpyuk-ga」 is presented in the book, but in 「Jojaryong-jeon」, jojo’s character is used to highly beautify the leading character. This explains characterization of 「Jojaryong-jeon」 is compared to Chukpyuk-ga. This book is not very well written book but makes reader feel confident and winning. In conclusion, novels originated and developed from 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 includes heroic people in ancient China, influence of enlightenment discussion, making progress of patterns and style that are major characteristics of novels at the period of time. Therefore, 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 and the books created based on 「a historical novel Samkukchi」 are very valuable sources to understand the development of literature and its cultures of the time.
