방화댐퍼 내화성능에 관한 연구

A Study on the Fire Resistance of the Fire Damper

국내에서는 건축물의 환기 및 냉난방을 위해 설치되는 설비덕트가 방화구획을 통과하는 부분에는 방화댐퍼를 설치하도록 규정하고 있 으며, 이러한 방화댐퍼는 화재시 일정시간내에 자동으로 폐쇄되어 덕트내에서 화염 및 연기확산을 방지하여야 한다. 하지만 현재 방화 댐퍼에 대한 최소한의 사양규정외에는 방화댐퍼의 내화성능을 평가할 수 있는 성능기준이나 평가방법이 정립되어 있지 않은 실정이다 . 이에 따라 성능확인이 생략된 방화댐퍼가 설치되어 화재시 덕트를 통한 화재가 확대될 가능성이 크며, 이에 본 논문에서는 국내의 방화댐퍼에 대한 화염 및 연기누설방지성능을 평가하여 관련 성능기준이나 평가방법 등을 정립하기 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다.

On the domestic side, a fire damper must be installed on the position that the duct for ventilation and air conditioning penetrates a fire compartment. This fire damper closes automatically in fire condition within a given period and prevents the flame and smoke spread. But there are no performance criterion and evaluation method for evaluating the fire resistance of the fire damper. Therefore there is a possibility that the fire spread through the duct, due to the fire damper having no fire resistance performance. In this study, the domes-tic fire damper was assessed with respect to the flame and smoke spread performance and the basic information for performance cri-terion and evaluation method was suggested.
