관광범죄피해자의 논의를 통한 피해방지 및 지원 방안: 취약성 이론에 근거한 설명을 중심으로

Victim Prevention and Support Plant through Discussion about Victims of Tourist Crimes -Focusing on explanation based on theory of vulnerability-

Due to the successful hosting of international events including 2002 World Cup, G20 and Gwang-ju Universiade and the increasing attention of Korean Wave Cultural Contents, the number of foreign tourists in Korea was over 10 million in 2012 for the first time followed by 12,170 thousands in 2013 and 14,200 in 2014. However, as the number of foreign tourists increases, so does the number of tourist crimes and illegal activities associated with tourism. Because foreign tourists are not familiar to the circumstances of Korea and they have a hard time communicating, they are subject to unlicensed guest houses, illegal call ban taxis, unlicensed money exchange business, unmarked price and touting along with the target of many crimes. Foreign tourists have vulnerability in many ways because they are not residents of Korea. This vulnerability is easy to be exposed to crimes. This is not limited within simple crime problems or illegal activities. This has sig-nificance in that they can act as PR ambassadors of Korea when they go back to their countries with good impression. Therefore, this study sought discussion about tourist crime victims, damage support and prevention measures focusing on victims's vulnerability associated with tourist crimes.
