본태눈꺼풀연축 환자에서 휴젤톡스와 보톡스 효과 비교

Comparative Study of Hugel-tox？？ versus Botox？？ for the Treatment of Essential Blepharospasm

목적: 본태눈꺼풀연축 환자에서 현재 시중에서 흔히 사용되는 보툴리눔 독소 A형 중 보톡스Ⓡ와 한국 휴젤사에서 개발되어 현재 보툴렉스Ⓡ라는 변경된 상품명으로 사용되고 있는 휴젤톡스Ⓡ의 임상적 효과와 지속 기간을 비교해 보고자 한다. 대상과 방법: 2013년 2월부터 2013년 8월까지 본태눈꺼풀연축으로 보툴리눔 독소 A형 주사가 필요한 48명을 대상으로 휴젤톡스Ⓡ(여자 17명, 남자 7명) 또는 보톡스Ⓡ (여자 18명, 남자 6명)를 주사한 후 환자가 느끼는 임상효과 및 약효 지속 기간을 비교하였고 합병증 유무를 확인하였다. 결과: 주사 전과 후 스코트 점수의 변화(휴젤톡스Ⓡ: -1.17 ± 0.70, 보톡스Ⓡ: -1.21 ± 0.72, p=0.840), 폐검력의 변화(휴젤톡스Ⓡ: -1.38± 0.58, 보톡스Ⓡ: -1.17 ± 0.56, p=0.212)를 통해 휴젤톡스Ⓡ와 보톡스Ⓡ의 임상효과를 비교했을 때 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 약효 지속 기간 또한 휴젤톡스Ⓡ는 116.08 ± 22.12일, 보톡스Ⓡ는 126.92 ± 38.94일(p=0.242)로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다.두 군 모두 심각한 후유증은 보이지 않았다. 결론: 본 연구 결과 본태눈꺼풀연축에서 휴젤톡스Ⓡ와 보톡스Ⓡ의 약효 및 지속력은 유의한 차이가 없었다.

Purpose: To compare clinical efficacy and duration of Hugel-toxⓇ (also known as BotulaxⓇ) and BotoxⓇ for the treatment of essential blepharospasm. Methods: A total of 48 patients who were injected with Hugel-toxⓇ (17 females, 7 males) or BotoxⓇ (18 females, 6 males) from February 2013 to October 2013 were enrolled in the present study. Changes in eyelid closing force and Scott grade before and after injection were analyzed. Adverse events were also evaluated. Results: There were no significant differences between the Hugel-toxⓇ and BotoxⓇ groups in clinical efficacy and duration.Before and after injection, changes in Scott grade (Hugel-toxⓇ: -1.17 ± 0.70, BotoxⓇ: -1.21 ± 0.72, p = 0.840), changes in eyelid closing force (Hugel-toxⓇ: -1.38 ± 0.58, BotoxⓇ: -1.17 ± 0.56, p = 0.212) and duration (Hugel-tox？？: 116.08 ± 22.12 days, Botox？？:126.92 ± 38.94 days, p = 0.242) were shown. No serious adverse events were found in either group. Conclusions: Hugel-tox？？ showed nearly equal efficacy and duration compared with Botox？？.
