부모의 양육태도가 청소년의 비행에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Parents' Raising Attitude on Adolescents' Delinquent Behaviors: Focusing on the Mediation Effect of Self-Control

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 양육태도가 청소년 비행에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 두 변인 사이에서 자아통제가 매개효과를 갖는지 검증하는 데 있다. 청소년 비행과 부모의 양육태도와의 관계를 알아보기 전에 부모의 양육태도를 애착적 ․ 감독적 ․ 부정적 양육태도로 분류하여 분석하였고, 청소년 비행과 부모의 양육태도 간 의 상관분석과 회귀분석, Baron과 Kenny의 매개효과 검증을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 부모의 애착적․감독적 양육은 청소년 비행과 부(-)적 상관관계를, 부모의 부정적 양육태도는 청소년 비행과 정 (+)적 상관관계를 보였다. 즉 부모의 애착적이고 감독적인 양육태도는 청소년 비행을 감소시키는 보호요인 이었고, 부정적 양육태도는 청소년 비행을 유발하는 위험요인으로 밝혀졌다. 최종적으로 청소년 비행과 부모의 애착적 ․ 감독적 ․ 부정적 양육태도 사이에서 자아통제는 모두 부분 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 심리적인 특성인 자아통제가 비행에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인임이 확인되었고, 이러한 결과에 기초하여 청소년 비행 감소를 위한 실천적 방안을 모색해 보고자 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of parents' raising attitude on adolescent’s delinquent behaviors, and prove whether the self-control had a mediation effect between the two variables. To fulfill this purpose, parents' raising attitudes were classified into three types of attachment-, directed-, and negative raising attitude, and their individual effect on adolescent’s delinquent behaviors was analyzed respectively. The results founded by using correlation analysis, regression analysis and the Baron and Kenny's mediation effect verification are as follows: First, while parents' attached- and directed raising attitudes were negatively correlated with adolescent’s delinquent behaviors, parents' negative attitude showed positive correlation with it. Second, Parents' attachment- and directed raising attitudes were protective factors that reduced adolescents' delinquency, and the negative raising attitude was revealed as a dangerous factor which caused it. Finally, the relationship between adolescents' delinquency and three types of parents' raising attitude was partly mediated by self-control. The results verified that parents' raising attitude and adolescents' self-control were the important factors which significantly influenced on adolescents' delinquent behaviors.
