Social Exclusion Experiences of Disable Persons in Housing Facilities

본 연구의 목적은 거주시설장애인의 사회적 배제 경험을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성 하기 위해 시설에서 거주한지 15-24년이 되는 장애인을 대상으로 심층면접과 참여관찰을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였고, 이를 개방코딩과 범주화의 과정을 거쳐 질적분석을 하였다. 분석결과, “이해가지 않는 세상”, “간섭받고 지시받는 생활”, “힘겹고 버거운 현실”, “내게 주어진 삶!”으로 나타났다. 이해가지 않는 세상은 “사생활이 없는 나와의 싸움”을 이야기하고 있다. 간섭받고 지시받는 생활은 “공평하지 않는 생활”, “내 문 제에서 나는 타인”, “행사 때 동원되는 구속”으로 구성되었다. 힘겹고 버거운 현실은 “만날수록 느껴지는 거리감”, “혼자여야 하는 생활”로 구성되었다. 내게 주어진 삶은 “도전해 볼수록 배울 것이 많은 세상”, “더 나은 삶을 살고 싶은 소망-자립”으로 구성되었다. 연구결과에 근거하여 거주시설 장애인의 사회적 배제를 줄이기 위한 정책과 실천적 제언을 하였다.

The Purpose of this study is to try to understand social exclusion experiences of disable persons in housing facilities. For accomplishing this purpose, it collected the data by conducting the in-depth interview and participant observation targeting the disable persons who have lived in the facilities for 15 to 24 years and analyze them with the qualitative research method. The analytical result has found to be ‘the world that I cannot understand’, ‘Life which is intervened and instructed’, ‘hard and burdensome reality’, and ‘life given to me’. ‘The world that I cannot understand’ consists of ‘fight with myself without my privacy’. Life which is intervened and instructed consists of ‘unfair life’, ‘except us’, ‘restriction to be taken to events’, ‘Hard and burdensome reality’ consists of ‘the sense of distance felt better meet’ and ‘to be living alone’. ‘Life given to me’ consists of ‘the deeper you to learn a lot of challenges the world’ and ‘wish and independence that I would like to lead a better life’. Based on the result in the study, it suggested policies and practical guidelines to support social exclusion of disable persons in housing facilities and practice.
