장애노인의 우울이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

The Influence of Depression on Life Satisfaction of the elderly with disability: Focused on the mediating effect of Disability Acceptance and Later Life Preparation.

본 연구는 장애노인이 일상생활에서 겪는 우울이 생활만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고, 장애수용과 노후준비여부가 그들 간의 영향관계에서 매개효과가 있는지를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 한국장애인고용공단에서 조사한 장애인고용패널 4차년도 자료를 활용하여, 65세 이상의 장애노인 443명을 대상으로 SPSS 20.0과 PreacherㆍHayes(2008)가 개발한 SPSS Indirect macro을 수행하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 장애노인의 우울이 생활만족도에 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애노인의 우울과 생활만족도 간에 장애수용의 매개효과가 있는 것을 검증하였다. 셋째, 장애노인의 우울과 생활만족도 간에 노후 준비여부의 매개효과가 있는 것을 검증하였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로, 장애노인들이 우울과 같은 부정적인 정신건강으로 인해 생활만족도가 낮아질 수 있는 상황에서 장애수용과 노후준비의 향상을 통해 그들의 생활만족도를 높일 수 있는 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

The objective of this study was to verify the mediating effect of disability acceptance and later life preparation on the relationship between depression and life satisfaction of the elderly with disability. For the study, 443 data which derived from the forth wave panel data provided at Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled were utilized. To analyze the data, SPSS 20.0 and SPSS Indirect macro were used. The results of the study were as follows : (1) Depression was effected on the life satisfaction. (2) Disability acceptance was mediated between depression and life satisfaction. (3) Later life preparation was mediated between depression and life satisfaction. Based on these findings, I proposed some plans to increase life satisfaction of the elderly with disability through disability acceptance and later life preparation elevations.
