농촌노인의 문화예술향유 경험에 영향을 미치는 요인

Factors Influencing Enjoyment of Culture and Art among Rural Elderly

본 연구의 목적은 Crwaford ․ Godbey(1987)의 여가제약모델에 기반해 농촌노인의 문화예술향유 경험의 예측요인을 파악하는 것이다. 자료는 고령화연구패널 3차년도 조사를 사용하였으며 총 1,211명의 농촌노인을 대상으로 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 농촌노인의 문화예술향유 경험은 매우 저조한 것으로 나타났으며, 문화예술향유 경험에 영향을 미친 요인은 성별, 교육수준, 주관적 계층의식, 참여모임인 것으로 나타났다. 즉 남성노인보다 여성노인이 문화예술향유 경험 확률이 높았으며 교육수준이 높을수록 문화예술향유 경험 확률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 내재적 요인 중에는 주관적 계층의식이 유의미한 변수 로 나타나 주관적으로 인식하는 계층의식이 높을수록 문화예술향유 경험 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 대인적 요인 중에는 참여하고 있는 모임이 있을 경우 문화예술향유 경험 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반면 구조적 요인 중에는 문화예술향유에 영향을 미치는 변수는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 구조적 요인보다 내재적 요인과 대인적 요인이 농촌노인의 문화예술향유를 설명하는 주요 요인으로 작용 할 수 있음을 보여준다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 농촌노인의 문화예술향유 증진을 위한 개입에 있어서의 함의를 제시하였다.

This study aims to identify factors influencing enjoyment of culture and art among rural elderly in Korea based on Craforwrd ․ Godbey(1987)’s leisure constrain model. A total of 1,211 individuals aged 65 and over who participated in Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing in 2010 were included in the analysis. The results showed that gender, education, subjective class identification, group participation were significant predictors of enjoyment of culture and art of rural elderly. Specifically, female and individuals with higher level of education were more likely to experience enjoyment of culture and art. Among intrapersonal factors, those with higher level of subjective class identification were more likely to experience enjoyment of culture and art. Among interpersonal factors, group participation increased the likelihood of experiencing enjoyment of culture and art. However, structural factors were not significantly associated with enjoyment of culture and art. Based on the findings, implications on intervention for culture and art enjoyment among rural elderly were discussed.
