신명 12장에 나타난 성소 단일화에 대한 고찰

신명 12장은 약속의 땅에서 지켜야 할 규정들로 시작(신명 12,1)해서, 신명 12,2-12.29-31에서 성소 단일화와 관련된 기본 규정들이 우상숭배와 관련된 경신례의 정화와 함께 부각되고 있다. 하느님의 백성 이스라엘에게는 약속의 땅이 단순히 거주해야 할 장소가 아니라, 하느님과의 계약관계에서 펼쳐지는 이스라엘 민족의 삶의 활동 무대이기 때문이다. 이러한 약속의 땅을 소유한다는 의미는 한 세대에만 해당되는 것이 아니라, 다가올 미래에도 자손 대대로 지속되어야 할 의무가 있는 것이다. 약속의 땅에 내재된 이러한 이상적인 개념은 이스라엘 민족의 실제의 삶과 항상 긴장 관계를 형성하고 있다. 신명 12,2-12.29-31이 나타난 이념을 기본으로 두 차례에 걸친 편집 결과를 보여주는 신명 12,13-19과 신명 12,20-28에서는 하느님의 거룩한 성전을 중심으로 성소 단일화와 관련된 경신례의 중앙 집중화 이념이 이스라엘 민족의 정체성을 드러내는 기능을 하고 있으며, 그 규정들이 공동체 안에서 실제적으로 적용되는 과정에서 역사의 추이를 따라 공시적 통시적 관점에서 서로 보완되고 편집되었다고 보인다. 신명 12장의 율법 제정자는 약속의 땅, 일탈된 경신례 장소의 배제, 성소 단일화, 경신례의 중앙 집중화와 같은 주요 개념들이 서로 분리될 수 없는 관계를 지니고 있으며, 이를 통해 하느님을 향한 전통적 신앙의 정체성이 무엇인지를 하느님의 백성들에게 새롭게 인지시키고 전달하려는 신학적 의도를 갖고 기술하고 있는 것이다.

The Book of Deuteronomy, Chapter 12 starts with the statues(12,1) which should keep in the Promised Land. Then in Chap. 12, 2-12, 29-31 embosses the basic statues about ‘One Sanctuary’ with the purification of worship rites related to Idolatry. To Israelites, People of God, the Promised Land does not mean just the dwelling place, but it is their field of activities within God’s covenant. The meaning of possessing the Promised Land is not corresponded to just one generation, there’s a duty to keep it for the future coming generations. Such an idealistic concept about the Promised Land always formed tensions in Israelites’ actual lives. In Chap 12, 13-19 and 20-28, which are shown the twice editing result of 12, 2-12, 29-31, the centralization concept of worship rites focused on ‘One Sanctuary’, Holy temple fulfilled the function of revealing the identity of Israelites. Those statutes are complemented and edited in diachronic and synchronic view in the process of applying in actual community with historical transition. The statues maker of Deuteronomy Chapter 12 wrote with these theological intentions; those important concepts of the Promised Land, exclusion of omitted worship place, One Sanctuary, centralization of worship ceremony have inseparable relations to each other. Through this, with theological intentions to People of God aimed to let recognize and deliver what the traditional identity of faith toward God is.
