기독교 목회자의 실천공동체(CoP) 참여를 통한 학습경험의 분석

본 연구의 목적은 기독교 목회자의 실천공동체(Community of Practice) 참여를 통한 학습경험을 분석하여 이해하는 데 있다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 연구자가 선정한 연구참여자 준거를 만족하는 8명의 목회자를 대상으로 질적연구를 실시하였으며, 연구방법론으로는 기본적 질적연구방법(basic qualitative research)을 사용하였다. 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 목회자의 실천공동체 참여를 통한 학습은 개인의 관심분야에 대한 ‘적극적 탐색’과 ‘공감’으로 출발하고 있었으며, 개 교회 공동체 대표로 실천공동체에 참여한다는 점에서 경계영역에서 ‘중개자’로서의역할을 수행하며 갈등을 겪는 모습을 보이고 있었다. 또한 참여자들은 ‘세대 간 조우’를 통한 상호작용을 중심으로 주변적 참여에서 전임 참여로의 이행을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 학습결과는 ‘인격적성숙’과 ‘자존감 향상’이라는 내적 변화와 ‘실천영역의 확장’이라는 외적 변화로 나타났다. 둘째, 목회자의 실천공동체 참여를 통한 학습경험의 본질은 ‘자기 인식(self-awareness)’으로 나타났으며, 구체적으로 이는 ‘목회의 본질’과 ‘특별한 나’에 대한 깨달음이었다. 본 연구는 성인교육에서 다뤄질 수 있는 실천공동체 연구의 다양성을 환기시켰다는 점과 목회자의 평생학습을 위한 하나의 접근 방법을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze learning experiences of christianity pastors who participate in Community of Practice. The basic qualitative method was used to examine eight christianity pastors who qualified in such criteria. The result of the research was as follows; First, learning experiences of pastors who participated in Community of Practice very much depended on the individual’s passion and activeness toward the interested field. Additionally, pastors participated in the Community of Practice as representatives of their churches, so they undertook a role as a ‘broker’ and experienced conflicts between both communities. Also the participants tended to begin participation at the ‘peripheral participation’ in the Community but through ‘generation encounters’ that friendships and interaction between different generations, they became ‘full participation’ to the Community. As the outcomes of pastors’ learning experiences, who participate in Community of Practice were categorized as internal changes that include ‘The maturity of personality’ and ‘enhancing self-esteem’ and external changes that was followed by ‘expansion of individual practice’. Second, the intrinsic nature of learning experiences was perceived as a ‘self-awareness’, specifically the awareness of nature of ministry and distinction of myself. The ultimate significances of this research were that it seeks to expand the research field of Community of Practice in lifelong education and to propose another approach to the lifelong learning experience for pastors
