유성(遊星) 김준곤의 민족복음화 통일

김준곤의 민족복음화 통일을 추적하는데 본 글의 목적이 있다. 김준곤은 1958년부터 시작된 한국 CCC를 통하여 1962년부터 2009년 그가 세상을 떠나기까지 민족복음화를 외쳤는데, 민족복음화가 김준곤의 통일신학이었다. 자신의 아버지와 처를 그의 눈앞에서 무참히 공산당에게 목숨을 잃어 체험적 반공주의자가 될 수밖에 없었던 김준곤이 어떻게 북한을 가슴에 품고 그 누구보다도 적극적으로 사랑할 수 있었으며, 결국 사랑으로 하나 되는 남북통일을 외쳤는지를 살펴본다. 김준곤이 외친‘사랑의 통일’(reunification of love)의 이론과 동족을 향한 사랑의 구체적 실천을 살피게 되는데, 김준곤의 통일신학이야말로 그의 공공신학(public theology)이었다. 김준곤의 민족복음화 통일은 오늘분단 하 길을 잃은 한국교회에게 나름대로 길을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The purpose of this essay is to review JOONKON Kim’s ‘national evangelization’ as ‘theology of reunification’. From 1962 to his death in 2009,Joonkon Kim, through Korea CCC, pursued a ‘national evangelization’, which was his ‘theology of reunification’. Losing both his father and wife to the communist party should have turned him staunchly anti-communist, but he transformed this negative event into a passionate pursuit of reunification through love. This essay pursues the theory and exercise of ‘the reunification of love’ he advocated, which can be most aptly characterized as a ‘public theology’. Joonkon Kim’s ‘national evangelization’ as thelogy of reuinification can provide guidance to today’s Korean Church as it ponders its position within the discourse of reunification.
