초등학교 자연체험교육에 대한 교사의 인식

이 연구는 초등학교 교사가 인식하는 자연체험교육의 필요성과 실태, 자연체험교육 실행 지원에 대한 요구는 어느 정도이며, 자연체험교육을 실천하기 위해 선행되어야 할 요건 및 적용방안에 대해 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연체험교육의 필요성은 94.4%이상의 교사의 선호도로 나타났다. 그 이유는 자연을 소중히 여기는 행동 변화와 자연과의 관계형성이다. 둘째, 자연체험교육의 실태는 55.6%의 교사가 실시하지 않는다고 하였다. 그 이유는 현행초등학교 교육과정에 구체적으로 제시되지 않았고, 학교생활과 연계부족으로 나타났다. 반면 44.4%의 교사가 실시하는 이유는 초등학생의 인지능력과 감성발달 및 자연생태 및 환경교육에 영향을 주기 때문으로 나타났다. 자연체험교육 효과는 생태보전, 생명존중 태도와 생태계의 이해로 나타났다. 교사연수에 99%의 교사가 참여의사를 밝혔고, 자연체험교육을 실천을 위한 정보획득 방법은 국가,단체가 발행한 책자나, 기타 다양한 방법 및 자연체험 교육기관 방문을 통해서 얻는다고 하였다. 셋째, 자연체험교육 실행 지원은 학생들의 자연체험교육을 위한 환경적 여건 마련, 자연체험교육 프로그램 개발 및 보급, 현행 교과과정에 자연체험교육 내용의 반영, 교사연수 기회 확대 지원이 필요하다고 하였다. 넷째, 자연체험교육의 실천 방안은 교사가 자율적으로 운영할 수 있는 교과 시수 확보, 학생들의 안전관리, 학부모교육의 강화, 자연체험교육에 대한 초등학교 행정가와 관리자의 신념과의지가 제시되었다.

The purpose of the study is to explore the necessity and the actual condition for nature-experience education of which childhood education primary school teachers take cognizance, to survey support and demands for practice of nature-experience education, and to examine practical plans. Concerning the teacher's requisites for nature-experience education,many respondents chose the promotion of educational environment for nature-experience, the development and diffusion of educational programs about nature-experience education, to cover nature-experience in current education curriculum, the reinforcement education to make the principal and teachers have volition and beliefs in nature-experience education. The reinforcement education program requires to contain practical case of the natureexperience education and training program for application. The executive plans of the natureexperience education was adduced to create educational environment and have an exclusive knowledge of teacher, develop and diffuse of educational programs about nature-experience education, ensure curriculum time hours that teacher can operate autonomically in natureexperience education, manage safety of students, reinforce education to change parental consciousness, have school administrator's volition and beliefs in nature-experience education.
