According to housing theory, there are three components that affect household location decision. Binary logit model that explain household moving decision was constructed to find out its determinants and they are life cycle of household, socio-economic characteristics and housing factors. Like prior research results,life cycle was a main factor of its household moving decision and residential satisfaction, commuting time were also appeared in determining household moving decision. On the contrary, there were three factors that are different from those of prior researches. They are ratio of financial asset total asset, housing type and residential cost. Household who lives in non-metropolitan area showed more propensity to move when they had more capacity in financial asset. Its means that they adapt their portfolio through moving behavior. Although there were lots of researches concerning household movement, there were a few researches focusing on its location, so this study found out a meaningful results. If high housing price of metropolitan area and search cost can be included in the model, we can have a more insight for the structure of household moving decision.
