The use of aluminum heat reflection adiabatic is gaining big momentum in frequency. However, suspicion is also accumulating on adiabatic function of aluminum heat reflection adiabatic. In this regards, this study quantitatively measured and compared the loss of heat at the surface whereat the heat bridge of styrofoam and aluminum membrane arise, using thermostat. Using the comparison results, this study aims to provide the basic material for reducing heat bridge at construction site and design process, and to contribute to reduction of heat loss due to heat bridge in buildings,The result showed that aluminum heat reflection adiabatic exercised better adiabatic function than styrofoam, even with identical thickness. However, as the heat bridge face is expanded, heat loss from aluminum heat reflection adiabatic increased much more than styrofoam. Therefore, special attention is deemed as necessary when using aluminum heat reflection adiabatic in order to prevent heat bridge phenomenon in construction works.
